Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
The test is $20. Compare this to the typical $100 to $250 cost of an office visit.
Is it safe?
Very. We've worked with incredible and well-respected physicians to develop our test, and its performance is constantly under review. It is critical to understand that we are not fitting you for new contact lenses or objectively evaluating your refractive error. We are simply determining whether or not your existing lens prescription is still right for you. This vastly minimizes inherent risk and improves test accuracy.
What if I don't pass the test?
You'll get your money back! Unfortunately, we will not be able to sell you contact lenses until you receive a prescription from an in-person eye doctor.
Who is the test designed for?
We've designed this test for contact lens wearers who are 18 or older, do not have a history of health issues, have stable vision and are happy in their current prescription, and have had an in-person eye exam in the past 4 years.
Where is the online eye test currently available?
We are currently available in Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. We are rapidly expanding to new states.
Is your test a full eye exam?
No. Our test is not a replacement for a full eye exam. We only offer a renewal test designed specifically to assess a contact lens prescription.
